Kimberly Chubb

Chubb’s creative teaching idea, “Bringing Literature to Life Through Musical Theater,” will allow students to sing, dance, play instruments, act and read literature to bring their favorite and well-loved book characters to life in a fun and innovative way. The project integrates music and literacy by allowing students to transform a book into a live musical theater performance. Each student will also receive a copy of the selected book, enabling them to actively participate in a guided book study. The Voya grant will be used for books, instruments, costumes and props.
