Jeannine Lanphear

Lanphear’s innovative teaching idea, “On the Ground, Under the Water, In the Air: Robots Among Us,” seeks to engage students in STEM (Science, Technology, Education and Math) learning in three different formats of dynamic robot design, build and movement. The three formats of robotics are designed to provide comparison points to enhance student thinking about the related science, coding, building and engineering content. With the Voya Unsung Heroes grant, Lanphear will upgrade equipment and learning experiences for students in the area of physical computing with robotics.
