Easterseals and Voya Cares: Thought leading collaboration to achieve full disability inclusion

From the beginning, Easterseals and Voya Cares have been joined by a common purpose. Easterseals is leading the way to full equity, inclusion and access through life-changing disability and community services. Voya Cares is committed to making a positive difference from birth through aging in the lives of people with disabilities and caregivers, by providing advocacy, resources and solutions.

Together, both organizations are collaborating to fight for everyone’s opportunity for a better financial future by expanding local access to health care, education and employment.

We’ll continue to work tirelessly to empower people with disabilities, families and communities to be full and equal participants in society.

Meeting the needs of employment extenders while they are working and as they continue to prepare for retirement

The combination of several factors — an aging workforce, the exodus of workers and a shift in worker attitudes — reflects a paradigm shift for many employers: far from encouraging their aging workforce to retire when they reach full retirement age, older employees may be encouraged to continue their employment into their late 60s or early 70s.

By putting measures in place to support their older workers, employers can benefit through retention and save on the cost of recruiting, onboarding and training new employees. The time is now to recognize the value that older employees offer as workers, colleagues and mentors.
