According to the team, this type of space can also help students regulate their emotions and behaviors, improve their focus and attention, and reduce stress and anxiety. The team believes that every student deserves a safe and inclusive learning environment, and a sensory room will help them achieve this goal. They hope the creation of a sensory room at Starr Elementary will have a significant impact on the students’ academic and emotional success.
