Josh Delozier

Josh’s innovative teaching idea, “Digital Journalism,” focuses on teaching students relevant skills and giving them real-world experiences that will benefit them in any post-secondary path they choose. While Bethany High School provides every student access to a laptop, there are no course options that address Digital Journalism skills. The program will have four major components: digital photography, podcasting, online news vlogging and digital marketing. Each component will teach students proper techniques and skills needed to produce high-quality products for community consumption. Through this project, students will be able to use studio-quality equipment and digital software that industry professionals employ — giving them a portfolio of work to showcase their educational achievements.
