Deeter’s innovative teaching idea, “Sharing Space,” involves Science National Honors Society students sharing space with other students within their area. Through the purchase of an inflatable planetarium, they will give presentations on numerous topics about space, layers of the earth and the human body. In addition to allowing others to experience the planetarium, students will host art projects, reading corners, star nights and science nights, where members from the Fort Myers community will be invited to learn about the stars and planets. In addition to being used at the school, the planetarium will be used for weekly presentations for students in pre-K through 12th grades.
