JENNIFER L KIM

Jennifer Kim is an Investment Advisor Representative with Voya Financial Advisors. She offers financial planning to help clients reach their life and retirement goals.  She also provides education on tax minimization strategies. She uses her economics training to educate her clients regarding the leveraging of market conditions and global economic changes and how they may impact their long-term returns and evaluate the risks.

Jennifer Kim has a Master in Public Affairs with a concentration in economics and public policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. She studied with Prof. Angus Deaton, 2015 Nobel Laureate in Economics; Prof. Alan Krueger, former chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers; and Cecilia Rouse, Dean of Princeton University Woodrow Wilson School and former National Economic Council Adviser. Jennifer holds Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) certification. She also holds a Life and  Health insurance licenses as required by the State of Texas.

Her experience includes being the first Asian American and minority woman elected to the Austin City Council (2005-2008), a policy analyst and project officer for the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Dept. of Commerce, as a President Management Fellow, and a legislative aide for Texas State Sen. Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo).
