Tuesday, September 24, 2019

Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that it has been named to the 2019 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the fourth consecutive year.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI represents the gold standard for corporate sustainability and is the first global index to track the leading sustainability-driven companies based on an analysis of financially material environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and S&P DJSI's robust index methodology. Of the 35 companies in the diversified financial services industry invited to disclose data for the 2019 DJSI, only eight were selected for inclusion in the index.

"Achieving renewed membership to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index reflects our work to apply a sustainable and responsible lens to the way that we operate across our enterprise, as well as our efforts to increase the disclosure of our ESG performance," said Chairman and CEO Rodney O. Martin, Jr. "This is a great honor that will continue to strengthen our reputation, brand recognition and stakeholder relationships."

Voya scored in the 81st percentile, which is three points above the average score in North America. The company scored high in a number of key focus areas, including customer relationship management, environmental reporting, code of business conduct and corporate governance.
