Voya Financial Named a 2018 Top Company for Executive Women by the National Association for Female Executives

Thursday, March 08, 2018

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that it has been named one of the 2018 Top 70 Companies for Executive Women by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). The annual NAFE Top Companies list recognizes American corporations that have an environment where women have significant influence to make decisions that affect their company’s future and its bottom line.

“Voya’s culture supports women in their career journey so they may reach their full potential at all levels within the organization,” said Kevin Silva, Voya’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

Companies considered for this award respond to approximately 200 questions on representation of women at all levels of the organization. The process includes tracking access and use of programs and policies that promote the advancement of women, as well as training and accountability of managers in relation to the number of women who advance.

Betty Spence, president of NAFE, says, “NAFE’s annual scrutiny of women’s progress at American companies offers essential data about the movement of women into top leadership in the private sector. In this first year of having five NAFE Top Companies with boards of 50 percent or more women, we point to a synergy between the greater presence of women on the board and an increase in the number of winning companies with women CEOs and with percent-plus women in the C-suite (10 companies).”

The NAFE Top 70 Companies (PDF) will be featured in the April/May issue of Working Mother.
