How to Nominate Your Books for Our Best Lists

Top Shelf Fiction for Middle School Readers

Have you published quality fiction in 2008 for middle school and junior high school youth aged eleven to thirteen or in grades six to eight?

Each publisher may nominate up to five books per imprint of their most outstanding titles published between October 2007 and September 2008.

  1. Send six copies of each nominated 2008 title to our selection committee chair:

    Tarzana, CA 91356

  2. Be sure we receive your books as early as possible, but no later than our nominations deadline of August 29, 2008.

  3. Refer procedural inquiries to VOYA Review Editor Linda Benson.

Winning selections will be featured in the next edition of Top Shelf Fiction for Middle School Readers, an annotated booklist in the February 2009 issue of VOYA.

Nonfiction Honor List

Have you published quality nonfiction—drama and poetry included—in 2007 for middle school and junior high school youth (grades six to nine)?

Each publisher may nominate up to five books per imprint of their most outstanding titles.

Here's how to nominate:

  1. Send six copies of each nominated 2007 title to:

  2. Be sure we receive your books as early as possible, but no later than our nominations deadline January 31, 2008.

Winning selections will be featured in the next edition of the Nonfiction Honor List, an annotated bibliography in the August 2008 issue of VOYA.
